Throughout our combined 17 years of experience as therapists working with clients, we’ve realized that helping clients explore the topic of sex is about much more than just listening to stories and learning through case studies and professional development.

As therapists and professionals, we have been taught and encouraged to leave ourselves at the door when working with clients and patients. However, this resulted in feelings of leaving half of ourselves outside the room. We were left feeling less authentic, less present, and struggled to integrate our training with who we are as clinicians and people.

Our SABI training is meant to bridge this gap in ethical therapist-client care. We have spent years researching and building this program and are proud to be able to offer it to wellness professionals, therapists, people working in healthcare settings, and anyone else who is patient/client facing. We are on a mission to support clinicians and healthcare professionals in developing a deeper knowing and understanding of themselves and how their own sexual values and beliefs contribute to and are important in providing comprehensive and compassionate care to those they are treating.

Our specialized training on sexual attitudes and beliefs for professionals equips mental health/wellness professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to address sexual issues with sensitivity and competence. This program delves into the complexities of sexual attitudes, cultural influences, and personal beliefs, offering a comprehensive understanding of how these factors impact clients' sexual well-being and health. Through expert-led discussions and interactive, experiential sessions, participants will identify and explore their own diversity of sexual attitudes, challenge misconceptions, and develop skills to communicate effectively about sexual issues and concerns. We incorporate evidence-based approaches and interactive case studies to support clinicians to navigate discussions around sexuality, foster open communication, and provide informed, empathetic support. This training ensures that professionals are prepared to create a safe and inclusive space for clients to explore and resolve their sexual concerns while enhancing their overall therapeutic skills.

This training aims to create a more inclusive and supportive environment, whether in personal relationships, educational settings, or professional spaces, empowering individuals to approach sexuality with knowledge and confidence, because they will have a better understanding of themselves and their own values and beliefs and how these aspects influence and contribute to client/patient care.

Who our training is for:

  • Individual therapists and group practice clinicians

  • Professionals working in medical care or facilities

  • Any clinician or professional who provides complementary therapies and treatments where sex and sexuality are offered and discussed

  • Professionals who are interested in providing sex therapy, but do not want to become Certified Educators, Counselors or Therapists

We provide our SABI training in multiple formats depending on your needs, including half-day, full-day or two-day trainings. We are able to travel to your place of business to facilitate the training, depending on number of attendees and a location that can provide a conference room-like environment. We can also host the training at our office building here in Parker. We also offer remote trainings for individuals and groups.
